A warm welcome to a relaxing blend of Scottish tradition and contemporary flair
This late 17th century Droving Inn harbours memories of the famous Battle of Sheriffmuir
but now offers a warm Scottish welcome to all visitors - discerning diners, hill
walkers with dogs, holidaymakers, families out for the day and business parties.
The Inn is privately owned and has been carefully upgraded. The interior is full
of rustic charm blended with modern creative flair - flagstone floors, open log fire
and hand carved bar. Beautifully crafted wrought ironwork adorns furniture in the
bar and restaurant. And look out for an original use of sporrans! Couples seeking
a romantic retreat are charmed by its unforgettable setting and rambling, tasteful
interior.
A flexible blend of merrymaking and attention to detail
The Inn is only a 10-minute drive up into the hills, but here you and your guests
will appreciate a feeling of being completely "out of town" - a sense of privacy
and exclusivity. The Inn is the ideal venue for gathering, whether you require a
wedding reception or celebrating any event. With in-house facilities to take care
of 65 guests and the option of extending your guest list with our "marquee plus"
alternative.
The bar is open from noon to 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays but closed during the
afternoon on weekdays.
A haven of tranquillity and calm, the Inn is unspoilt by progress - a perfect place
to sit with a refreshing beer or bottle of wine and simply enjoy the superb views.
But it's also a stimulating and lively hostelry - renowned for its outstanding food.
The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious - staff are friendly and attentive.
